We will work hard for our local community to deliver better services and facilities for everyone to enjoy and be proud of.
We have a deep understanding of local issues and passionate about finding innovative solutions to overcome challenges our community faces. We are committed to connecting closely to the community and advocate for your voice and needs.
1.
NEW Council headquarters - St Peters Depot.

St Peters depot, with over 11,000 m² would house ALL existing council staff.

Easily accessible with close proximity to Sydenham Station and buses.

The building has potential to attain a 6Star energy rating reducing councils carbon footprint.

ONE council building will reduce council costs by not having to maintain multiple buildings.

Immediate efficiencies and greater productivity for council staff not having to travel between buildings.

The development of this site would unlock funding to upgrade both the St Peters Town Hall and the Library.
2.
Mackey and Steele Park facilities upgrade

New change rooms for female teams.

Upgrade playing surfaces.

Improve storage for clubs who utilise the parks.

Pursue Installation of footbridge to connect Mackey and Gough Whitlam Park for better pedestrian safety.
3.
Reclaiming residential streets for the residents

Preserve the quiet residential streets, creating safe streets with lower traffic volumes.

Remove the congestion from residential streets to provide peaceful pedestrian streetscapes.

Increase the frequency of street cleaning and maintenance of nature strips and trees.

Continue to ensure our main streets are safe and vibrant for everyone to enjoy. We will continue to work with small business owners to encourage live music venues, bars, restaurants and cafes as well as our general retail stores.

Community events

Reintroduce socialisation between communities by creating vibrant cultural events that bring our residents together.

Create events for seniors including cross-generational/cross-cultural functions e.g., Cooking classes and oral history events in schools. Reinstate cyber seniors.

Support our creative community by facilitating events that showcase their talents.
5.
First Nations’ Community

Engage local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents to co-produce events, spaces, social activities and history programs.

Introduce cultural educational and knowledge sharing events about our local Indigenous and geographic history.
6.
Environment and Liveability
-
Continue to support the clean-up of Cooks River. It is the Jewel in our crown, and we need to ensure it is reinstated back to its natural health.

Support affordable housing with a realistic policy that is viable for the area and will deliver outcomes.
